Primer Sealer Gray is an oil-base product ideal for sealing and priming porous surfaces, helping cover and fill small flaws in the surface.
After the gilding surface has been sanded and made smooth, applying the gray basecoat will seal and prime the surface making it ready to accept the size adhesive. It is compatible with both our oil and Water Based size, as well as with acrylic topcoat sealer. Gray primer is used primarily for light colored leaf, such as silver, palladium and 12k gold leaf. It will give a lighter color tone to gold leaf with higher karat value.
Primer Sealer is flammable and must be shipped by ground services.
