Japan Brushes

Japan Brushes are mainly used to apply paint to backgrounds on glass water gilding projects.

They can also used to apply size, primers and sealers. The brushes are made with black goat hair, attached to a plain lacquered wooden handle. The goat hair is soft and will not scratch the gold leaf.

Japan Brushes should be cleaned after use, and be laid flat when dried to maintain their usability.
