Agate burnisher #1 is a gilding tool used for polishing gold, silver, or other leaf, on picture frames, artwork, icons, or other items that have been water gilded.

Perfect for concave surfaces, corners and flat surfaces. It is a larger version of burnisher #5.

Made of highly polished genuine agate, securely fastened to a lacquered wooden handle. Total length: 9-1/4", Tip length: 1-1/2". Lengths are approximate.
